Ding Yanzhang Meets with Mozambique President

On 2nd September 2018, Ding Yanzhang, President and Deputy Secretary Communist Party of Energy China paid a call on H.E. President of Mozambique Filipe Jacinto Nyusi who is on a state visit to China. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening the cooperation in power and infrastructure sectors and reached consensus on jointly developing Tete coal-fired power plant, Nacala coal-fired power plant and other projects.
Ding Yanzhang presented President Nyusi with the development course of Energy China and its overall strength. He said, as one of the largest comprehensive solutions providers in power sector both domestically and globally, it is characterized by the advantages of whole industry chain and life-cycle service which includes power and energy planning, consulting, engineering and design, EPC service, equipment manufacturing, investment and operation. He also pointed out that Mozambique is an important marine traffic artery in southeastern region of Africa and also one of the key markets for Energy China in African region. We are willing to take an active part to develop and implement Mozambican priority projects and be committed to contribute to social-economic development of Mozambique by giving full and maximizing the advantages of technology, management and financing alongside with interested parties and related authorities.

President Nyusi spoke highly of the overall strength of Energy China in construction area, especially in power and energy sectors. He appreciated Energy China’s efforts on promoting and developing priority power and infrastructure projects in Mozambique and Mozambican government will positively support Energy China to achieve the project implementation. Meanwhile the President also expected that Energy China could take advantage of its experience in technology and management to contribute the development of Mozambican power industry.
