This transmission line is constituting the 500 kV domestic backbone network in Myanmar. The project is contracted by HEPDI and constructed by AEPC2, both of which are subsidiaries of Energy China. Working as a power hub, this project shall play a significant role in solving the unbalanced power distribution between the north and the south of Myanmar and improving the local economic development.
