Li Pingli Presents Party Lecture to Grass-roots Party Organizations in Ecuador

On March 21, Li Pingli, Deputy Party Secretary and Deputy President of CGGC International, gave a special Party lecture on the Party’s political construction in Ecuador, demanding all grass-root party members to thoroughly implement the new requirements for the development of international businesses in the new era, firmly promote the in-depth integration of Party construction with production and operation, and fully realize the high-quality development of international businesses.

Li Pingli systematically reviewed the achievements made by CGGC in development of international businesses since the establishment of CGGC International, as well as its experiences and practices for sustained, rapid and healthy development of international businesses, and analyzed the new requirements for the development of international businesses in the new era in her lecture titled “Strengthening Political Construction and Responsibility to Promote the High-quality and Sustainable Development of CGGC’s International Businesses”.

As she noted, it is emphasized in both Report at the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and Government Work Report 2019 that we should adhere to the global governance concept of achieving shared growth through discussion and collaboration, focus on the construction of the Belt and Road, strengthen the international capacity cooperation, and accelerate the cultivation of new advantages in international economic cooperation and competition. The Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation to be held in April 2019 will provide a broad platform for Chinese enterprises to participate in international cooperation and promote the healthy and orderly development of foreign investment. As the Belt and Road Initiative advances, Chinese enterprises that practice the “going global” strategy usher in unprecedented opportunities for development.

Li Pingli noted that 2019 is extremely crucial for CGGC to develop its international businesses, and is also “the year for the promotion of Party building at the grass-roots level in central enterprises”. Energy China and CGGC have put forward new requirements and arrangements for overseas grass-roots Party building and high-quality development of international business. Ecuador is CGGC’s key regional market in South America. Strengthening the grass-roots Party building in an all-round way is an important guarantee for sustainable development of the regional markets. Overseas party organizations of CGGC International should give full play to its important role in uniting the people, stabilizing the team, preventing risks, maintaining safety, ensuring supervision and promoting development, and continue to strengthen the overseas Party building and accelerate the healthy and sustainable development of CGGC’s international businesses in accordance with the requirements of “strengthening in one aspect, promoting in two aspects and guaranteeing in three aspects” set forth by Secretary Hao Peng of SASAC. For the next stage of overseas grass-roots Party building, Li Pingli emphasized that political construction must be strengthened and always be highly consistent with the CPC Central Committee and other superior authorities. She pointed out that we must strengthen the construction of overseas party organizations and provide organizational guarantee for overseas Party building. We must strengthen the construction of the management and train a group of officials with excellent political skills and great strength. We must deepen the construction of work style and unite the hearts and minds with a fine work style. All kinds of corruption must be severely punished to create a healthy environment for development. We must promote the in-depth integration of Party building with production and operation for high-quality development.
