Located in Bago Division in central Myanmar, the Project has a total length of 175km and is an important international institution-funded project of CGGC in Myanmar. It is also Myanmar’s first 500kV common-tower double-circuit transmission line and an important section that connects backbone networks in southern and northern Myanmar. After completion, it will effectively alleviate the current situation of uneven power distribution and serious line aging loss in Myanmar and promote the sustainable socio-economic development.

At the signing ceremony, representative of Doosan Engineering & Construction hoped to further deepen and expand the partnership with CGGC in the third-party market cooperation for win-win result. As the representative noted, Doosan is fully confident in the cooperation, as CGGC is a pioneer in practicing the “Belt and Road” Initiative, with good reputation and remarkable achievements in power transmission and transformation field.

Myanmar is the strategic fulcrum for practicing the “Belt and Road” Initiative and the core overseas market of CGGC. CGGC has successively undertaken a batch of key power projects in Myanmar such as Yeywa Hydropower Station since it made its first presence in Myanmar in 2005, realizing dual-driven and coordinated development in project contracting and investment, and making outstanding contributions to Myanmar’s socio-economic development and the economic and trade cooperation between China and Myanmar. As the “Belt and Road” Initiative further deepens, CGGC has proactively strengthened the cooperation with multinational enterprises in the third-party market and increased its efforts to develop international institution-funded projects in Myanmar, making great contributions to the high-quality development of countries along the “Belt and Road”.
